Novartis offers all associates global travel insurance on business trips. This means that Novartis associates in Switzerland too now benefit from a high-quality travel insurance that provides cover for a wide range of risks. Any losses incurred no longer have to be claimed on expenses, as was the case until now. The travel insurance has two components:
1. Service for emergencies on business trips
The existing collaboration with International SOS will be continued. This allows Novartis associates to get local medical help when on business trips abroad.

2. Global travel accident insurance
The newly introduced travel accident insurance provides cover for the consequences of an accident and other risks during a business trip for Novartis. The benefits include, for example, compensation in the event of death and disability, medical expenses supplementary to a social or private insurance, annulment costs, luggage insurance and payment of any excess on own or rented vehicles.
Important note:
A certificate showing adequate insurance cover is associated with the Novartis travel insurance, which assists in obtaining an entry visa for certain countries. A certificate is available from Novartis Service Center Switzerland, HR Services:
